Q: Why not rely on Microsoft Word, or other processing tools, for editing and proofreading?
A: Our clients use these programs all the time, and we encourage their use. They are useful for eliminating basic grammatical and usage errors; however, the service we provide is based upon twenty-five years of writing experience in business, academia, and the legal profession. Just like autocorrect cannot predict our words 100% of the time, these programs use algorithms that can be lacking in the ability to apply logic, reasoning, and context when making suggestions.

Q: What is your typical turnaround time?
A: Turnaround time is based upon your submitted paper and the current workload of our editors. Once your paper is submitted for our review, we will provide you with a time frame to expect your paper to be returned. We are committed to provide you with quality work. We do not sacrifice this quality for quantity. Most papers are returned within 12 hours of your acceptance of our quote. Based upon availability of an editor and the word count of your paper, we offer an expedited review. The expedited option is in addition to our posted rates and will be included in your quote.

Q: What document format will you accept?
A: We can accept documents formatted in several ways, including .docx and .doc (Microsoft Word documents), as well as .txt files. Other file formats can be accepted upon request.

Q: Is email the only form of communication?
A: No, Monday – Friday, between the hours of 9 am and 12 pm, and 2 pm until 5 pm, Central Time, we have staff members available to take your calls.
